"As if to confirm that the whole show was going to be of
exceptional quality, the second act on stage was Bongo
Bolero. The male and female duo's facial expressions as they
went through their comedy adagio number were worth the price
of the admission alone.
The two performers were dressed as if they were off to a
special social event, he in an orange dress shirt and black
trousers and she in a black cocktail dress and fishnet
tights. Although this didn't seem to be to her liking
judging by the oh so misserable look on her face.
This really was a wonderfully entertaining comedy performance
of the highest order, she looking so bored and fed up
throughout. Perhaps not more so than when he balanced her on
his forearm but ended up with his hand on her breast, for
which he received a slapped hand for his troubles.
The next lift, and the way the comedic elements flowed so
naturally was evidence of Bongo Bolero's supreme skill and
strength, saw her foot in his groin and then his face, before
he swings her round and appears to almost drop her, causing
her to pull his wig off, much to the amusement of those
watching.
Almost inevitably, another move sees his head get stuck up
her dress before her attempts to stand on his bald pate sees
her 'slip' on his sweaty head, where upon the wig becomes an
instant head mop. A simply superb performance."
